6 Sundays in January and February   Song Mountain in Tully, NY

Check back in the Fall of 2018 for details about the 2018-2019 Ski Season

The FAD Ski Program began in 1975.

This is the only program of its kind in the Northeast where downhill skiing lessons are given in sign language or by using interpreters.
The program is open to Deaf children and adults as well as hearing family and friends. Six week lessons in ASL are available as well as lessons for hearing.

The program begins early in January and end six weeks later.

The last day of the program is a special Deaf Ski Day. Students and staff are recognized. There is a slide show of pictures from the present and some from the past. Many people join for pizza, skiing or just for friendship.

The program meets on Sundays, at Song Mountain in Tully, NY, just 30 minutes south of Syracuse.

FAD is always looking for interpreters who can ski or snowboard to be a part of the program.

Many volunteers help to make the lessons run smoothly and provide a great skiing and social opportunity for the
Deaf community.
