The FAD Ski Program 1975-2018 was the only program of its kind in the Northeast where downhill skiing lessons were given in sign language or by using interpreters.

The program was open to Deaf children and adults as well as hearing family and friends. Six week lessons in ASL were available as well as lessons for hearing. Because of declining participation, there will no longer be a weekly program.

In 2019 the focus will be on Deaf Ski Day tentatively scheduled for Sunday, February 10. It will be held at Song Mountain in Tully, NY, just 30 minutes south of Syracuse. There will be special rates for skiing and a chance to gather with others at a pizza lunch. When available, details will be posted here.
